Frozen Game & Poultry
Frozen squab, wrapped bird by bird
SQUAB, HALAL — individually wrapped, product of France. The featured line of the frozen catalog, and a small masterclass in pack design.
Most frozen birds are packed for the producer's convenience. This one is packed for the buyer's: twelve squab, each individually wrapped, in boxes. A kitchen running squab twice a week thaws two birds and keeps ten in reserve, at full quality, for weeks of services. A retailer sells from the box without a repacking step. Portion inventory, not a frozen block — that is why this line leads the catalog.
The listing beside it — whole pigeon (squab), halal, product of France — is the same tradition under its trade name, for the order sheets and menus that say pigeon. Both lines are frozen, both carry exact pack facts in the table, and both quote in the same request as the frozen quail range, which is how game programs are normally assembled.
Squab is a specification purchase: bird count, box weight, and origin drive menu pricing and shelf pricing alike. Ours are printed above, and the quote you receive is written against exactly them.

Questions Buyers Ask
Before you request
What is the frozen squab specification?
halal squab: box, 12 individually wrapped squab, product of France. The pigeon (squab) line is whole birds, halal, product of France.
Why does individual wrapping matter for a frozen product?
Because the case becomes a portion inventory: draw two birds, keep ten frozen at full quality. Kitchens protect food cost; retailers avoid repacking. It is the format detail serious squab buyers specify first.
Can squab and quail be quoted in one request?
Yes. They sit in the same frozen section of the catalog, and one form covers both — the reply prices the game program as a whole.
